Do you ever think about how weird language is? It's funny because the other day I was talking to an Indian with a very strong accent and I was having trouble understanding what he was saying. But then I thought, 'I have an accent too. What he was having trouble understanding me over my accent. And then later, when I started really thinking through language, it came to me that there are so many different languages and people with so many different accents and places and homes. And then you look around you at the world and realise just how pointless your life is. Not to sound like an emo or anything but seriously. When you think about it, when I die I assume the only people that will come to my funeral and do grieve over me would be my friends and family, unless we randomly get the pot luck and become famous, no one else is really going to care. And then you think about how tiny you are in the big picture of the world and how much your life is not going to change the history books. And then you remember this all started with language. It just stunned me a little bit.
